Bet365 Bookmaker Review

Bet365When you first go to Bet365.com you are greeted with a basic page to click through to the site of your choice. This helps to keep Sport separate from Casino, Poker, Games and Bingo. The introductory offer is advertising up to £200 in free bets. However, the small print reveals that you need to play through your qualifying deposit once and rollover your deposit and bonus 3 times before making a withdrawal. The minimum opening deposit is just £10.

A click through the sports link brings up a plethora of text displaying just about every “in-play” or upcoming event across the globe. For example, Kolboten Women were trailing 3-2 at home to Trondheims women with just over an hour played. Remarkably, there was still room down the left and right side of the page to promote Live Casino, list all of the sports and inform me of the current odds on the next 3 horse races.

Bet365.com Horse Racing

The Horse Racing link brought me to a page listing meetings and times for every race for the next two days plus the ante-post races. Bet365 specialises on U.K. horse racing but also other big racing events are covered. I am not entirely certain that the white on grey background will be clear to every viewer, particularly as I am using a widescreen laptop and can imagine it could get very tiring on the eyes over time.

Placing a bet is the usual procedure of a simple click on the price of a horse that drops it into your “Bet Slip” ready to add your stake and place your bet. There is no attempt to make the racecard any more attractive than it needs to be although there is a handy video form feature. You do have to be logged in to access it but, assuming it does what it says on the tin, it is a welcome tool for punters. Video form is available on other sporting sites, usually subject only to a free registration, but it is handy to have it all in the one place.

There is also a little “I” next to each runner that brings up a brief summary of the horse’s form and its last race, courtesy of the Racing Post. This is roughly what is available on the average racecard and serious form students will still need to refer to other sites for official handicap ratings etc. The special offers for punters include a best odds guarantee and a free bet on the next race if you back a 4-1 or bigger priced winner on any Channel 4 live race.

There is a “Live Help” or “Chat” option to help you find your way around the site plus a “How To” Guide that answers most of the basic questions. Deposits at Bet365 can be made by just about every available means with a minimum deposit of £5 for credit/debit cards and £10 for Paypal. Withdrawals by credit/debit cards take from 1-3 days with most other methods processed within 24 hours.

Summary

In summary, I don’t think I’d like to spend too long on this rather text-heavy site but all of the information is there and it isn’t too difficult to navigate. Placing a bet is straight forward and at least no time is wasted waiting for graphics to load. Functional rather than fancy but definitely fit for purpose. They also offer live betting which is not all that common for horse racing. For the serious punters/gamblers, this is a very good option.
